The solid metal construction makes this vise perfect for any pen turner. This robust and uniquely designed Self Centering Pen Drilling Vise keeps your pen blanks secured. This vise assures the jaws clamp firmly and quickly. The jaws can open wide enough for wider bottle stopper blanks as well. The jaws are parallel to one another and remain square to your drill press table to ensure accuracy.This pen blank drilling vise is designed to let you bore accurate cylindrical items with ease on your drill press. The vise jaws incorporate "V" slots to firmly secure round or square blanks. With an adjustable toggle clamp and T handle you get full and fast adjustment. When fixed to the drill press table they remain square and parallel so that precise repeatability may be achieved. It holds blanks up to 1-1/2" or 2- 3/16" diagonal for items such as bottle stoppers or pen blanks, and truly makes boring easy.

Once set up and centered on the drill press you can perform the exact same results on as many identical items you require. For boring to fit the brass tubes used in pen turning, we recommend the use of standard brad point bits for best results.

The Self Centering Drill Press Vise also includes three sacrificial MDF Plates to slide underneath the blanks to protect the vise base when drilling through blank.
